SIF (Syddanske Ingeniørstuderendes Fællesråd) is your student organisation at The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark. We are an organization of volunteers and work independently of party politics to improve both yours and your fellow students’ conditions – both professionally and socially.
This means that SIF has only one agenda; yours!
SIF consist, as an organization, of a number of committees – at the top we have the Board, consisting of 11 board members (incl. the President, Vice President and Treasurer) and up to two substitutes. Next is the management, consisting of the board and the Presidents of the various committees (and Vice-Presidents, when applicable). It also includes several subcommittees, some small, some large – but all equally important! You can read more about the various committees in the Committees menu at the top.
SIF engage in political work internally at the Faculty through the Academic Council and through dialogue meetings between TEK’s management and the students. We cooperate among others with Syddanske Students to make the University better for the students.
In addition SIF communicates with the Engineering Association in Denmark (IDA), through the Technical and Science Students’ List (TNS) who speak the students’ voice. SIF is also involved nationally and internationally with other engineering students – inter alia through collaboration with TIA, ESN and participating in NORDTEK.

SIF is through its committees also active on the cultural and social fronts, and organizes parties, quizzes, the Bold & Band-event (Soccer and Music), and a lot of other events.
As a member of SIF you are eligible to get 500 DKK in support when going on a study trip with your study programme. Furthermore you get discounts for parties, events and much more!

The organization’s regulations can be found by clicking here. Open general meetings are held twice a year – usually in March and September.
